Banten is the westernmost province on the island of Java, Indonesia, and the capital city is called Serang. Historically it has a culture distinct from the rest of Java and from the broader Indonesian archipelago. In the 5th century, Banten was part of the Kingdom of Tarumanagara. It collapsed because of the attack by the Srivijaya empire, and power fell eventually to the Kingdom of Sunda.
Banten is only a separate province since 2000, while formerly was a part of the province of West Java. The province is a transit corridor to the neighboring Indonesian island of Sumatra. Lot of tourism attractions can be found in Banten, and river tubing is among the favorite activities. By river tubing you can safely enjoy watersport that is pure fun. After that, you can also visit several beautiful waterfalls called "Curug" in Sundanese language.
