Puncak or Puncak Pass is a mountain pass in West Java, Indonesia. The area has been considered a popular weekend destination for residents in Jakarta, especially for those who are longing for clean air and beautiful scenery.
Its peak is located just 70 km south of Jakarta. The Puncak region is situated on the foot and slopes of the Gede-Pangrango mountains and is largely part of the Gede Pangrango National Park area. This area is famous as a tourist area of the mountains for both domestic and foreign tourists. The Puncak Region is known for its coolness and natural beauty There are many tea plantations on either side of the main Puncak road, and many activities can be done lie paragliding.
Other tourist attractions are Kota Bunga (City of Flowers), and just south of the pass is the Cibodas Botanical Garden. Taman Safari, a wildlife park, is also located in Puncak. There is a volcanic lake named Telaga Warna near the main route.
